Mavins star Reekado Banks has revealed he got no hindrance from his family when he made it known he had decided to go into the music industry. However, they only gave him one condition – Never leave Jesus Christ. Speaking with  Sunday Scoop,  Reekado said: “My parents have always been supportive and they want the best for their children. When I initially told my mother about my intention, she had no problem with it. She then told my dad and he was okay with it too but said he wanted to be sure that I wouldn’t leave Jesus Christ.” On what has changed about him since he became popular, Reekado said, “I am still the same person I used to be. Days ago, Jenifa Diary actor, Toyosi reportedly left the productions after a misunderstanding with Funke and all fingers were pointing at you, what really happened? I don’t know why Toyosi left and it has nothing to do with me. Just like any character in a TV series, she can go and return. The only permanent character in the series is Jenifa. Falz has gone and came back. In the script Toyosi is married and has gone to France with her husband to live for a while. So, anything can happen. When she comes back, you’d see her on screen, if not, then that’s what the script said. But it was also reported that Funke un-followed her on social media…..true? Well, I don’t know about that. Professor wole Soyinka  Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to disclose his state of health to Nigerians, stating that the President is a public property. Soyinka, at a forum in Lagos on Friday, themed, ‘Sacred Cow’, described the speculations surrounding the President’s true state of health as avoidable. The Nobel laureate said Buhari’s failure to publicly disclose his state of health had increased political manipulations in the country. Buhari was on Wednesday absent from the Federal Executive Council meeting and the Juma’at service at the mosque in the Presidential Villa on Friday. A California father accused of leaving his baby in the car to get  Lap dances at a Strip Club has been jailed for 10days. Auwin Dargin who appeared before a Los Angeles court  on Wednesday  was on the 9th of March, 2016, arrested for leaving his 9month old baby daughter in a car for 43 minutes while he visited Synn Gentlemen’s Club in North Hills to buy lap dances, according to prosecutors. The court also heard that the employees of the club and neighboring businesses discovered the sweating and crying baby girl inside the vehicle about  2 p.m.  and rescued her before they contacted the police. In a news release from the office of Los Angeles County District Attorney, the 26-year-old father pleaded no contest to a felony count of child abuse. He was sentenced to 10 days in county jail and five years probation. He was also ordered to complete 52 weeks of parenting classes, as well as 45 days of Caltrans service.

North Korea has test-fired another ballistic missile, South Korean and US military officials say. The missile exploded shortly after take-off, they said - the second failed launch in the past fortnight. US President Donald Trump accused North Korea of showing "disrespect" towards China and its president. The missile was fired from a site in South Pyeongan province, north of Pyongyang, in the early hours of Saturday local time, South Korea said. Mr Trump  tweeted : "North Korea disrespected the wishes of China & its highly respected President when it launched, though unsuccessfully, a missile today. Bad!" Mr Trump recently hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and praised his Chinese counterpart for "trying very hard" on North Korea. Ahead of 'Star Wars' 40th anniversary, Japanese jeweler Tanaka Kikinzoku has unveiled a 24 karat gold sculpture of Darth Vader, one of the fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. According to Japan Times, the 15kg (33 pounds) statue of the iconic sci-fi villain will sell at a hefty $1.4 million and will be available to purchase in Japan on  May 4 , being the 'Star Wars' Day. The glowing gold helmet is currently on display at the jeweler’s main store Tokyo’s Ginza shopping district. The jeweler also plans to release gold coins specially designed to celebrate the anniversary in the more affordable price range of $1,200 to $11,000 (about R15,9k to R145,9k). Over the years, Tanaka has created other gold commemorative products including a Christmas tree, samurai helmets and a replica of footballer Lionel Messi's left foot.

A Black woman was delivered of a baby boy on a train at the busy London Bridge station  on Thursday  evening, April 27. She, whose name is not yet known, went into labour on a Southeastern train before being helped onto the platform when it arrived at London Bridge. Realising the baby was on the way, an announcement was made for doctors and nurses to attend,before she was moved to a medical room. She gave birth to her son shortly after  4.30pm. Dean Parsons, 43, an information assistant at Southeastern Railway, told Evening Standard:  "I work in the control room but was doing work on the platform when a lady came running to my colleague and said there’s a lady on the train which had just pulled in having contractions. Davido Music Worldwide records artiste, Mayorkun, has dismissed the idea that he had a special lady in mind when he wrote his trending single, ‘Sade’. According to the ‘Eleko’ crooner, he didn’t even have a girlfriend as at the time he signed his record deal as he broke up with his girlfriend just two months earlier. “I broke up with my girlfriend like two months before I got signed because of my bank job. Juliana Olayode, a Nollywood Actress who is best known for her role in Jenifa’s diary as Toyosi aka Toyo Baby was reported to have parted ways with the producer of the popular series, Funke Akindele. According to TNS sources, Funke Akindele removed Toyo Baby from the series over what the latter termed ‘bad pay’.
