Mavins star Reekado Banks has revealed he got no hindrance from his family when he made it known he had decided to go into the music industry. However, they only gave him one condition – Never leave Jesus Christ. Speaking with  Sunday Scoop,  Reekado said: “My parents have always been supportive and they want the best for their children. When I initially told my mother about my intention, she had no problem with it. She then told my dad and he was okay with it too but said he wanted to be sure that I wouldn’t leave Jesus Christ.” On what has changed about him since he became popular, Reekado said, “I am still the same person I used to be. I do every other thing I want but I no longer have the liberty of walking on the street or going to some certain places I would have loved to go. Days ago, Jenifa Diary actor, Toyosi reportedly left the productions after a misunderstanding with Funke and all fingers were pointing at you, what really happened? I don’t know why Toyosi left and it has nothing to do with me. Just like any character in a TV series, she can go and return. The only permanent character in the series is Jenifa. Falz has gone and came back. In the script Toyosi is married and has gone to France with her husband to live for a while. So, anything can happen. When she comes back, you’d see her on screen, if not, then that’s what the script said. But it was also reported that Funke un-followed her on social media…..true? Well, I don’t know about that. I’m not 100 percent sure of that. I’ll have to check Instagram to find out about that.

Professor wole Soyinka  Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to disclose his state of health to Nigerians, stating that the President is a public property. Soyinka, at a forum in Lagos on Friday, themed, ‘Sacred Cow’, described the speculations surrounding the President’s true state of health as avoidable. The Nobel laureate said Buhari’s failure to publicly disclose his state of health had increased political manipulations in the country. Buhari was on Wednesday absent from the Federal Executive Council meeting and the Juma’at service at the mosque in the Presidential Villa on Friday. Dad jailed 10 days for leaving baby in the car to get Lap dances in Strip club

A California father accused of leaving his baby in the car to get  Lap dances at a Strip Club has been jailed for 10days. Auwin Dargin who appeared before a Los Angeles court  on Wednesday  was on the 9th of March, 2016, arrested for leaving his 9month old baby daughter in a car for 43 minutes while he visited Synn Gentlemen’s Club in North Hills to buy lap dances, according to prosecutors. The court also heard that the employees of the club and neighboring businesses discovered the sweating and crying baby girl inside the vehicle about  2 p.m.  and rescued her before they contacted the police. In a news release from the office of Los Angeles County District Attorney, the 26-year-old father pleaded no contest to a felony count of child abuse. He was sentenced to 10 days in county jail and five years probation. He was also ordered to complete 52 weeks of parenting classes, as well as 45 days of Caltrans service.

The Mavrodi Mondial Movement (MMM) Nigeria in conjunction with an NGO, Isio Kids Project recently empowered kids by donating stationary and awarding scholarships in Portharcourt, Rivers State capital. Held at the ECCI Centre in the Nigerian Air Force base, the event which kicked off by 3pm had in attendance the beneficiaries and their families as well as team members of Isio Kids. Speaking at the event an official of MMM shed light on the initiative. “Today we are at the ECCI Centre in the Air Force Base, Port Harcourt, where we are donating educational materials to 11 pupils of the Rivers State State Primary School with the huge support of MMM. What made us undertake the project was the desire to see children of school age go to and stay in school and see them empowered to break the poverty cycle.
